How The Relationship Actually Started (Jon's Version)

It took a mix of luck and effort for this beautiful relationship to come to life. Desirae has been by my side through some of the most difficult chapters of my life. In my early twenties, I’ll admit... I wasn’t always the most grounded or wise. But even then, she stood by me and my family as we navigated one of our toughest battles: my mom’s fight with cancer. Desirae was a true friend through it all, offering her unwavering support throughout my mom’s recovery.

It was during those times that I came to realize something important... Desirae wasn’t just a good friend. She was someone I wanted by my side for the rest of my life. Her kind heart, quick wit, and the light she brought into my world made everything feel a little brighter. So when the opportunity came along, I took a chance.

After some unforgettable hangouts, I told her how I felt. She felt the same way and the rest, as they say, is history.
